International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG)

CFT Canada offers the latest version of this manual.

The IMDG Code, which has two volumes, is divided into seven parts:

Volume 1 (parts 1, 2 and 4 to 7 Code) contains sections on:

– The general provisions, definitions and provisions on training
– Classification
– The provisions relating to the use of packaging and tanks
– Shipping procedures
– The design of packaging, intermediate bulk containers (IBCs), large packagings, portable tanks and road tank vehicles and the conditions they must endure

Volume 2 (Part 3) contains:

– The list of dangerous goods presented in tables
– The exemptions for limited quantities
– The index – Appendices
